The Journey of Courage

Courage is needed on our journey of truth

When we look inside ourselves

And find the strength to move beyond our pain and grief

To accept fear for what it is in this duality of life

In order to release any control it has had over us

We journey to non ordinary reality

And our heartbeat serves as a drum to carry us forward

We see a meadow with scattered trees and a creek

And find the bridge to carry us over

And the hawk flies overhead to reassure us we are on the right path

That we will find our sacred truth on this journey

That he will guide us to awaken

What is needed to live fully in the present moment

Without being caught up by the past

Without having trepidation for the future

So we may embrace our unique expression of truth

Our divine intensity of energy that grows within us

In this meadow, we see our many selves throughout life

Fragmented parts of us that left us in pain

But they are ready to come home now

They see we are there with courage now to love all aspects of ourselves

Even the disassociated ones that left in suffering

And the owl in the tree over us brings winds of change

To let us know that we can leave our old habits behind that do not serve our highest good

That we can accept our feelings and be free from them

That we can learn from them, embrace them, love them

For in our humanness, we see our condition

For in our spiritual nature, we see our divinity

So we shine awareness on these emotions that no longer serve us

And look for the bridge to return home with our lost selves

To bring back our inner child

To integrate our small self with our Higher Self

Connecting our humanness with our divinity

For courage is on this bridge in non ordinary reality

When we leave the ego behind to journey to find the soul’s needs

When we meet our divine nature, our Higher Self in God

And reach out our hand and offer our pain, our troubles

And let the light that emanates from the universe

Take the attachments and transmute them into a swirling motion of light

And then breathe back healing and freedom into our soul’s essence

Reminding us that we are worthy and loved

Despite what waits us when we return to ordinary reality

Our own inner reality has shifted

For on this bridge of courage

We have found peace in this spiritual dimension

We have released pain that no longer serves our soul

And as we observe ourselves from a higher perspective

We see the soul returns to wholeness

Fragmented layers brought back and alchemized back into gold

And the wind caresses our face

And the sun warms our body

And the owl hoots in the background to offer us wisdom and guidance

Reminding us to trust our intuition

That we can see beyond this illusion of life

Beyond the deceit and masks of others

Beyond the programming of the collective consciousness of humanity

Beyond the cultural norms that we were conditioned to believe in

And behind this veil

We see the peace and comfort of the Conscious Oneness of God

We have courage now to be our authentic self

So we can return now to ordinary reality

We can cross back over

With acceptance of our feelings now

With the trust that in letting go

That in complete surrender to our Higher Self

We are guided, integrated, and whole again

For in our courage, we took our journey and it made all the difference
